Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic technique that makes use of hypnotic trance to access the creative power of the unconscious and allow for new experiences within your imagination, which are preparation and rehearsal for how you want to live your life. It is a collaborative process between me and you. As we explore your goals and life experiences, I collect the suggestions that will be used in the hypnosis. The general outline of the hypnotic session is created between the two of us and then once in trance you unconscious takes over and allows you to tap into your inner wisdom.
A hypnotic trance is a naturally occurring state of deep focus. It is a relaxing state to be in, which is brought on through an intentional induction led by a therapist. It is also possible to bring on a trance state through your own intention or for it to arise on its own, such as when you completely engrossed in your present moment activity, or deep in thought.
